Ron Bourque Named Senior Vice President of Safety and Risk Management

Aim Transportation Solutions is thrilled to announce that Ron Bourque has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Safety and Risk Management. Since joining Aim in 2015, Ron has been instrumental in further solidifying the company’s safety-first culture and ensuring Aim is operating in the safest manner possible for the betterment of its employees and customers. 

Ron, a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in finance, learned the industry from the ground up. He entered the field in 2002, and has since held a variety of roles in different areas of the transportation industry. This set the stage for Ron to join Aim as the Director of Regional Logistics. His unwavering commitment to compliance and operating safely would lead him to being promoted to Vice President of Safety in 2017.

In this elevated role, Eric will continue to drive Aim’s used commercial truck sales while maintaining the company’s stellar reputation for selling affordable, reliable and efficient pre-owned vehicles.

Since coming on board in 2018 as Director of Used Trucks, Eric’s innovation, steadfast leadership, vast experience and natural business acumen have been vital to the rapid rise and success of Aim’s used truck sales over the last five years. And in the used truck industry, those five years have been anything but easy.

During this time, Eric has not only grown and expanded Aim’s used truck sales to record heights, he’s been instrumental in helping the company weather unprecedented events like the pandemic, when used truck sales nationwide all but flatlined, and the eventual rebound, when the market caught fire and demand was nearly impossible to meet.

Since joining the Aim family in 2006, Bob has earned his ASE certifications, received the New York State Golden Wrench Award (twice), competed in NationaLease’s Top Tech Challenge seven times and winning five, and competed in TMC’s highly competitive Super Tech competition seven times.

Shortly after, he was promoted to Software Development Team Lead, a position he held until his latest promotion to Software Security Architect.

“As Aim’s in-house developed software options continue to expand, there is an ever-growing need to focus on software cyber security,” said Vice President of Software Development, Dan Kellgren. “To continue to maintain a high level of security, Aim has created a new position within its software development group. Aim as a company doesn’t get to its elite level without hardworking, dedicated individuals, those like Scherry May, who was recently promoted to Maintenance Support Director.

Scherry got her start in the transportation industry back in 1996 working for Fyda Freightliner in the warranty department. Two years later, in ’98, Scherry would join Aim’s warranty department, and, going on 25 years since, she has climbed the ranks while simultaneously establishing herself as an invaluable resource for Aim’s nationwide maintenance division.

Aim Transportation Solutions, a family-owned and -operated provider of commercial trucks and transportation services for more than 40 years, has some big news coming out of their corporate headquarters in Youngstown, OHIO: a new Chief Financial Officer has been appointed.

Aim is privileged to name Harry Shood, former Chief Accounting Officer within the organization, to the role of CFO.  Coming off the heels of a record-shattering sales year, Shood, who joined Aim a year ago as the Chief Accounting Officer, has already proven himself to be vital to Aim’s strategic plan for long-term success.

Justin Battisti Promoted to Aim Controller

Justin Battisti has been named Aim Transportation Solution’s Controller. Since coming onboard in 2021 as the Assistant Controller, he has been a vital part of Aim’s accounting operation and, by extension, the company’s overall success.

In his new, enhanced role, Justin will work closely with Paul Slater—who was recently promoted to Vice President, Corporate Controller—on all accounting functions, including high-level accounting and managerial accounting.
