After completing a large-scale expansion project, Aim Transportation Solutions in Pottsville, PA, has more than doubled the size of its truck maintenance facility, allowing for higher output, enhanced service and quicker turnaround for new and existing customers alike.

This investment builds on already strong, enduring partnerships with area businesses. Over the last few years, the local Aim maintenance team has earned quite the shining reputation. The shop, located at 1182 on Highway 61, is known for its “can do” attitude. That is, when it comes to truck maintenance and repairs, there’s nothing these guys can’t or won’t do.

In fact, several Aim customers in the region travel long distances—bypassing closer competitor maintenance facilities along the way—because they know they can count on their equipment being fixed right the first time every time.

Prior to the expansion, trucks and trailers were serviced out of a small shop with two pass-through bays. And because of the all-out grit and skill of the Pottsville team the shop quickly grew in profitability and, most importantly, trust.

The shop grew so much that work literally spilled outside the shop, where the crew would perform a significant amount of work outside either under a canopy or in the elements. Rain, sun, snow and sometimes all in the blink of an eye, the team has earned every bit of its stellar reputation.

“Expanding our facility to just over double its size made sense to better serve our existing dedicated fleet and lease customers, while also growing sales and service relationship with national retailer Wegman’s,” said Aim Regional Director of Maintenance Buzz Ryder. “Though, it must be said that we don’t get to this point with out the hard work and dedicated of our Pottsville technicians—what a great team.”

Today, the freshly renovated and expanded Aim Pottsville shop has the space—plus plenty of added bells and whistles—to not only accommodate more customers but to enhance and streamline their service as well.

The expansion project added some much need square-footage to keep up with increasing demand. The above photos show the expansion in mid-progress (left) and the finished addition.

The high-tech Aim Pottsville truck maintenance facility—now equipped with four bays—is capable of servicing a tractor and trailer in almost each bay (or a combination of two power units in each). Moreover, the overhauled oil recovery system, which includes state-of-the-art quick-connect oil drainage system, allows Aim’s diesel techs to more efficiently carry out preventive maintenance on equipment, getting customers back on the road as quickly as possible.

The re-imagined work environment is mapped for efficiency and convenience. For example, the expanded parts management area is now an easily-accessible centralized locations. On top of that, the main office received a modern makeover along with an additional breakroom, locker room and manager’s office. These improvements create a more comfortable environment for customers waiting on service as well as for the Pottsville team who bring the facility to life each day.

The Aim Pottsville shop upgrades aren’t all in the infrastructure. Aim has also expanded the location’s staff. This combined with the increased capacity and facility upgrades will yield a higher quantity of quality preventative maintenance and repairs.

Overall, this huge investment further solidifies Aim as a market leader in quality of repairs for all makes and models, including refrigerated trailer maintenance. Whether you’re an Aim full-service lease customer, on a preventive maintenance program or just need one-off repairs, business can count on the Aim Pottsville team to keep their equipment where it belongs: on the road.
