Safety is the top priority for our truck drivers. Aim works hard to keep all of our drivers in safe, reliable vehicles. Our Safety Department is committed to keeping our drivers safe and in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  1. Road Rage – Avoid it
Keep your cool behind the wheel. Stay focused, keep your truck under control. Cool heads always prevail.
  2. Buckle Up; Always Wear Your Seatbelt
Protect yourself and others by wearing your seatbelt. It is necessary to buckle up every time!
  3. Slow Down – Take Your Time
Speeding is one of the leading causes of work zone related crashes so slow down and take your time.
  4. Stay Alert and Minimize Distractions
Dedicated your full attention to the roadway – no cell phones while driving. Be observant.
  5. Obey Road Crew Flaggers
The flagger knows what is best for moving traffic safely in the work zone. A flagger has the same authority as a regulatory sign and you can receive a citation for not obeying his or her directions.
  6. Pre-trip and Post-trip Inspections are Necessary
Do your pre-trip and post-trip inspections. You are much better off getting to your destination late and safe than not getting there.
“Safety is the 1st priority. Quarterly Safety meetings are essential to ensure continual safety of all staff. Aim offers Safety awards, which is a great way to recognize drivers for their efforts to ensure safe driving and operations.”Bill Purnell – CDL Class A Driver, Gainesville, GA
