Diesel Mechanics / Technicians Benefits and Requirements

This position performs assigned job duties of preventative maintenance inspections, tune-ups, lubrications, welding, and all other service shop activities such as:
- Be a persistent problem solver
- Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts for purpose of learning to troubleshoot and analyze repair of a mechanical or electrical nature
- Ability to work on, repair and provide maintenance on trailers
- Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology
- Knowledge of refrigeration experience preferred but not required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have some of your own mechanic tools
- Working knowledge of diesel truck parts, maintenance and terminology
- Knowledge of the use of welding and cutting equipment, bench grinder, jacks, wheel dollies, pressure washer, air tools and power tools
- Ability to interpret MSDS sheets and navigate through the manual as needed
